How do I join a fundraising team?

To join a fundraising team first go to this page here and follow these steps:

  1. Select the team you would like to join and fundraise for.
  2. On the next page you may search for other members of your selected team, or leave the search box blank. Hit "Next".
Please note that you do not have to search for anyone on a team, this feature is here only for your personal reference (ex. checking to see if a friend has joined a team)
  3. You will now see any members you searched for (or a list of all members if the search box was blank) on this team, all listed members will have a "Join" button next to their name, simply click on any "Join" button and you will become a member of your selected team!
  4. If you did not see anyone listed try searching again by leaving the search box blank.

I'm on a team, now what?

Now that you are on a team you can go to your fundraising dashboard. To do this simply go back to the "Joining a Team" page, and click the team you joined.
From your dashboard you can see how much money you have raised, edit your own personal fundraising page, send emails, and enter offline donations!

How do I view and edit my personal fundraising page?

To edit your page go to your fundraising dashboard (see previous question). By default you are under the "My Home" tab, from here you can see your progress and update your fundraising goal. You will also see links labeled "Design My Web Page" and "View My Web Page". Click "Design My Web Page" and from the next page click the button labled "Edit My Web Page".

Now that you are on the edit page You will notice two text boxes, one labled "Greeting Header" and one labled "Main Text". From here anything you type in these boxes will appear on your personal page.

In the "Greeting Header" box you may enter a simple introduction, or go into detail about why someone should donate to you and your team!

In the "Main Text" area you have a lot more customization options such as font, text size and more. Anything entered here will appear below the "Greeting Header". You may choose to leave this box blank and instead enter any information you want into the "Greeting Header" if you wish to avoid using these customization options.

At the very bottom you will see your "Simday Thermometer" wich appear on your page to show how much money you have raised towards your goal!

When your finished click "Save Changes". You may view your page by going to the "My Home" tab and clicking "View My Web Page".

*Please note your page will always contain a "Donate Now" button at the bottom of your page.

How do I send emails?

From your dashboard you will notice a "Send Email" button. Click this and scroll down. You will notice a "create new recipient" and a "select a recepient from your Address Book" buttons. By default your address book is empty so click the "create new recipient" button. You will be asked to fill out basic information about this new contact, fill this out and hit "Continue". You will see your new contact listed, you may select "Continue" or continue to add more recipents. On the next page you will now be able fill in the information for your email: The Email Stye (by default there is only one option for this), the Subject, the Message of your Email and closing Signature.

If all the information looks correct you may hit send and within a few minutes your contacts will recieve your email, the email will also link back to your personal page. Your page always has a "Donate Now" button at the bottom. (Tip: try to keep the email brief, 3-4 sentences)

How does someone donate to me or my team?

Direct people to your personal fundraising page (if you need the link simply visit your personal page from your dashboard and copy the URL address) or your team page (a list of all team pages can be accesed at the simday home page on the right hand side). On your page and your team's page there is a "Donate Now" button at the bottom, anyone who clicks this button will be brought to a donation form where they will be asked to fill out their payment information.

Any email you send through your fundraising dashboard will also contain a link to your personal fundraising page.
