Scholarship ApplicationThe application for the 2010-2011 academic year will be available from 8:00 a.m. January 22, 2010 until 2:00 p.m. May 4, 2010. Mailed transcripts will be accepted if postmarked on or before May 4th. Any transcripts postmarked after this date will not be considered.By completing one scholarship application, you can apply for all of the many different scholarships offered for HCC students through the HCC Foundation.

Attention F-1 Students: Currently, out of all the scholarships available at the HCC Foundation, only the Computer Science Technology Scholarship, the Society of Iranian American Women for Education Scholarship, the Southwest Intensive English Program Endowed Scholarship, and the Northeast College Scholarship are available for F-1 students.
Tips for Getting a Scholarship Complete the entire application. Every question you answer increases your chances of getting a scholarship. Review your application carefully as we will not accept any changes. Once you submit your application, you will no longer have access to it. Upload a strong essay. No application will be considered complete unless an essay has been submitted. Tips for Writing a Strong Essay As soon as you complete your application, send a copy of your most recent transcript to the HCC Foundation. First semester college students should send a copy of their final high school transcript. Please make sure your name is clearly visible and matches the name used on your online application. Apply for financial aid at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Many HCC scholarships require you to apply for financial aid first. Also, many HCC students are eligible for grants from the state of Texas and the federal government. This is money that never has to be repaid. Undocumented students: You may also be eligible to receive financial aid from the State of Texas. Visit the financial aid office at your nearest campus to apply. You may be eligible for some scholarships that have additional requirements, such as a recommendation from an instructor or submission of a portfolio of your work. Complete your application by the May 4, 2010 2 p.m. deadline. No submissions or essayswill be accepted after this date. Transcripts must be postmarked by May 4th to be accepted.
