The Houston Community College Black History Scholarship Gala will take place Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Hotel ZaZa, 5701 Main Street, in Houston’s Museum District. We respectfully ask for your sponsorship and support of this important community event.
The Black History Scholarship Gala marks its 10th anniversary in 2016, and will continue its tradition of presenting keynote speeches from some of the most accomplished, noteworthy and interesting citizens in the nation.
This year we are proud to have Major General Charles Frank Bolden Jr., NASA Administrator, as our keynote speaker. As the 12th NASA Administrator, Maj. Gen. Bolden leads a nationwide NASA team to advance the missions and goals of the U.S. space program. He has served as NASA’s chief administrator since 2009.
As you know, the HCC Black History Scholarship Gala provides college scholarships for students of Houston Community College. Our mission is clear: We exist to serve as a beacon of hope to deserving students seeking better lives. We ask that you share in this vision to help make Houston a richer, more vibrant and educated city.
In addition, the 2016 scholarship gala will honor longtime leaders in Houston business, civic and philanthropic communities. The selected honorees are individuals who encourage diversity in all facets of life and have made significant contributions to improving Houston’s underserved areas.
Please consider the enclosed underwriter levels for your organization. There will be a limited number of tables and seats available in 2016. Upon request, we will personally pick up sponsorship contributions. If paying by check, please make your check payable to:
