Thank You to our fabulous friends and supporters who gathered with us on Saturday, April 20th at the Hilton Americas-Houston for the 2024 HCC Foundation Gala: Where Dreams Take Flight! The generous support of our gala donors is helping our students soar higher in their studies! The event raised more than $650,000 which will directly benefit areas of greatest need on behalf of HCC student success. 

Special appreciation to Crystal Eagle Honoree Dr. Ruth Simmons, a President's Distinguished Fellow at Rice University and New York Times best-selling author, for her riveting conversation on stage with HCC Chancellor Dr. Margaret Ford Fisher. Dr. Simmons spoke on her own childhood and the impact of education on her life. Dr. Simmons shared, "I came to understand the value of education, not just to enable me to make a good living, but to enable me to make a worthwhile life."
