HCC: An Affordable Option

HCC's tuition and fees are 75 - 80% lower than tuition and fees at Texas's public universities. The educational bargain HCC represents is especially apparent in light of the fact that people with an associate's degree earn an average of $510,000 more over their lifetime than people with only a high school diploma. HCC Students

HCC is the second-largest community college in the country. More than 1.5 million people have taken HCC classes since the college's inception in 1971, and more than 70,000 students enroll each semester. These students reflect Houston's rich diversity, with 29.9% coming from Hispanic backgrounds, 31.6% African-American, 16.7% white, 9.8% Asian, and 12% from other backgrounds. Another 8% are students visiting from around the world, giving HCC one of the nation's largest international student bodies for a community college.
